Year 7-9
The available devices have been selected after research and consultation with students, teachers, learning leaders, industry and education leaders. Students are required to bring one of the prescribed laptops models:
IMPORTANTLY
We advise parents to shop around when buying these prescribed devices, as you might find any of these three models on special. We strongly suggest that when purchasing your device you also get accidental insurance coverage to cover the device, from either the computer retailer or your insurance company.
We have setup a shortcut for parents with EduNet, a Mornington company who can supply these laptops. To be fully transparent, Padua does not get a commission from this company, nor do we get any benefits from this arrangement.
The Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program at Padua remains unchanged. That is students can use any device to do work at the college excluding mobile phones, iPads and Google Chromebooks devices.
Whilst not mandatory, if you choose to purchase a new laptop we do recommend that students purchase one of the devices listed above including a 3 year accidental coverage protection.
If you have any questions about the program, or the devices please feel free to contact us (http://www.padua.vic.edu.au/contact-us/) via phone or email.
