Student Achievement: James Johnstone, Year 9 Geoghegan

NCCS Coding Challenge 2019

More than 17,000 students from around the world recently participated in the NCCS Coding Challenge 2019. Students competed independently for 5 weeks, learning to code using a language called Python to solve interesting and engaging problems.

The results of the competition have now been released, and James Johnstone (Year 9 Tyabb, Geoghegan 2) came in at the top of the world leaderboard with a perfect score!

This is an exceptional achievement and hints at a very bright future in coding for James.

Computer science skills are critical in society. For further advancements in medical, social and physical sciences we need bright young minds like James to enter this field.

Congratulations James!
