Rosebud Athletics Day

On Wednesday 14 August Rosebud Padua hosted their very first House Athletics Carnival at Ballam Park, Frankston.

Students were all very excited to be running on a professional track, using timing gates, jumping into proper pits and having the chance to compete in all SIS disciplines.

Sun was shining, house costumes were colourful and impressive, participation was abundant and competition was fierce.

We had some very impressive results on and off the track. Our Ninja course proved to be the most popular event of the day with queues of students desperately trying to take out the warrior crown.

The house trophy was anyone’s all day with the lead changing constantly throughout the day between three houses. It came down to the final races and after many, many years was taken out by Anthony!

Our final races of the day were the prestigious 100m boys and girls final. These races consisted of the best six 100m results from any year level throughout the day. Our female winner was Scarlett Hura from Year 7 and our Male winner was Stanley Allen from Year 8.

Congratulations to all students that competed or assisted on the day and to the hard working and enthusiastic staff that made the day possible and fun!
