Tyabb Campus Report

End of Term News

Concluding a semester often sees many weeks of work and effort culminate in project completion and end-of-semester subject events. The following are just a few of the things that happened this week at Tyabb...

Congratulations to Victoria Downward for being selected in the School Sport Victoria Team Vic 12 Years and Under Netball State Team to represent SSV at the School Sport Australia 12 Years and Under Netball Championship to be held in Canberra, ACT, 14-20 September 2019.

The Year 8 HPE classes were introduced to the olympic sport of archery earlier this week. Alec Potts, a member of the bronze medal winning men’s team from the Rio Olympics visited all our Year 8 classes to teach the basics of archery to an enthusiastic cohort of now budding young archers.

Ms Cook and the Year 9's are coming to the conclusion of their semester elective subject and the creations are restaurant quality. Pictures of the Asian Banquet and the iced drip cakes, plus some future pastry chef boys, are proof of why this is such a popular subject, and why these students are so popular on cooking days with their friends and teachers! Well done to the Year 9 food Tech classes on their creations.

The committed bunch of school production members from Tyabb for this years “School of Rock” production continue their diligent preparations for the July 25 opening. We are all looking forward to the show!
