Requirements for the interhouse competition at Padua College: Theme – “East meets West”

* Students must be part of a team of 4. Students will make a main meal (2 people) and a dessert (2 people)

* Students must select ingredients from the list provided and place a food order in at least 2 weeks before the in house competition date. Your ingredients list must be submitted to Ms Roser in staffroom 5. A copy of your recipes must be submitted. The recipe must serve 2.

* The interhouse competition date is Wednesday 17 July (week 1 term 3) during periods 3 and 4. You will be required in the kitchen at recess to start organising your team, your ingredients and to meet the guests chefs. You may also be required during some of lunchtime to serve your meal to the guest judges and finish cleaning up.

* The winning team of the interhouse competition will go into the SIS Competition on August 5th where they will compete against other Southern Independent Schools in the region. This will take place at St Johns Dandenong and will be an all-day event. You will be required to undertake research of recipes and create their own recipe for the event.

* Assessment criteria will include the following: Hygiene – personal and kitchen hygiene;  Innovation and creativity; Presentation - final appearance; Taste; Organisation and management – correct finish time and final clean up; and Team work
