Equest-a-Thon Success!

On Friday 31 May, Padua College had two teams represent the school at the annual Equest-a-Thon Competition - a female team from Rosebud Campus and a mixed team from Tyabb Campus.

Each team was made up of three competitors: one has to compete on their horse in a show jumping round; one has to run a 3km cross-country course; and the last competitor has to bike ride a 5km cross-country course.

The courses were very challenging due to the amount of rain we’ve had lately. The students competed in really miserable conditions on the day with rain, freezing cold winds and mud puddles everywhere! The way they cheered and supported their team mates all day, you would have thought the sun was shining!

Well done to our Rosebud team: Karis Hawkins (SJ), Amy Doyle (run) and Neve Savage (bike) and to our Tyabb team:  Hannah Lionnet (SJ), Tom Lillywhite (run) and Corey Lionnet (bike). Both teams finished the day in second place and represented our school with the never-give-up attitude which was a pleasure to be a part of.
