Year 7 Camp

Our year 7 camps took place last week at Ferngully Lodge in Healseville. The camp is a fantastic opportunity for our students to make friends in a relaxed environment. Our students and some staff enjoyed the challenges of high and low ropes courses, flying fox and giant swing. Weather conditions at the camp were very hot and we were very proud of the resilience shown by the students as they pushed through and made the most of the experience.

Shrove Tuesday

Shrove Tuesday is the day immediately preceding Ash Wednesday (beginning of Lent) which is sometimes celebrated by consuming pancakes. Our House Co-ordinators pitched in to prepare, cook and serve pancakes to all of our students. Our Social Justice Leaders took the opportunity to take donations for Project Compassion. A special thank you to Mr Andrew Ferguson for all his work, buying ingredients, preparing the batter and cooking the pancakes.

Ash Wednesday

We marked the beginning of Lent on Wednesday with a wonderful liturgical service prepared by Ms Anne-Marie Wilkinson and our Liturgy Leaders. All of our students received ashes from their House Co-ordinators as a symbol of the beginning of this important Christian tradition.

Twilight Open Evening

On Thursday evening we opened the Tyabb Campus to the community and prospective families. This was a great opportunity for us to showcase our facilities and our programs. Thank you to all staff involved for setting up their displays and for running various demonstrations, presentations and activities. Also, thank you to all the students that did such a wonderful job in leading the school tours.
