Sustainability at Padua

As a part of Padua College’s goal to be more sustainable, students have identified litter and waste as an area that needs to be worked on. With this in mind, a group of 30 Mornington students from Year 7-9 volunteered their time to clean up both the school yard and the external perimeter of the property. A massive effort from all students involved resulted in 30 garbage bags of rubbish.

During National Recycle Week students were given the challenge in PACA to design and decorate paper recycle boxes for their room. Entries were colourful, unique and catchy. I would like to congratulate Ella Dunglinson, Max Griffiths, Nathan Jinks and Anna Porto, who have won movie vouchers for their design, which was neatly presented with environmental images and inspiring slogans.

I would like to thank all who signed up for the Sustainability Team activities this year and I look forward to a greater number of students promoting sustainable living both on campus and in their everyday lives.
