Padua Equestrian Team

The Padua Equestrian team is off to a great start for 2018 with many new members joining and several good results in competition for some riders. On 10 February, Georgia Sbisa (Year 7 Cardijn) and her horse Kasper competed at the Korrumburra Agricultural Show and did an absolutely fantastic job, getting first in all three divisions they entered as well as reserve champion in all three events. They also competed in Show Hunter Galloway and for their pony club and earned extra ribbons!

On 16 February at Ayr Hill, Eliza Lloyd (Year 12 MacKillop) riding Bamboo Harvester, achieved first place (Champion) in the Level 6 Advanced ISJ event.

On 23 February Liesel Wright-Smith (Year 9 Cardijn) and her horse Larry finished second in the Power and Speed class at the Interschool Showjumping Series at Geelong Grammar School, and in tenth position in the Grand Prix. Brooke Hargrave (Year 11 Francis) and her horse Bullecourt, finished third in the same show jumping event. Congratulations girls, well ridden!

Other students who have competed this year include Jordyn Weatherley (Year 8 McCormack), Max Rumler (Year 9 Geoghegan), Jemima Calder (Year 9 Romero) and Taneisha Chippindall (Year 7 McCormack).
