Join the Padua College Board

We are seeking a member of the Padua College community with legal expertise to join us and enhance the existing competencies of the Board. The College Board is the body which is responsible for the management of the College on behalf of the Parish Priests (Canonical Administrators) of the member Parishes.

This appointment would be on an annual basis and, while it is a volunteer position, the costs of professional development are offered to Board members including training with the Australian Institute of Company Directors for those members that wish to participate.

Time commitment: 4 Board Meetings per year plus up to 6 subcommittee meetings, held on weeknights.


Selection Criteria:

*Candidates ideally (but not essentially) should have:

* Demonstrated governance experience;

* Demonstrated financial literacy;

* Experience or understanding in managing risk from a governance perspective;

* Demonstrated integrity and understanding of the duty of care of a director;

* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to be an active contributor;

* A genuine interest in the business of education;

*Preferably experience in one or more of legal, finance/accounting, strategic management, information technology, marketing and development sectors;* A commitment to the Catholic ethos of Padua College.
