Advent time in the Christian tradition is a time of waiting and preparation. We wait for the coming of Jesus into our lives at Christmas, and we prepare by reflecting on our lives, on the year that has been, and on the light to which God is calling us.

May the God of Love who waits for us,

even when we are too busy to remember,

dwell in our hearts and homes during this Advent and Christmas season.

May the holidays be a time of rest and rejuvenation

so that the cup that is our life

is filled with creativity, new hope,

the wonder of God’s creation,

and the warmth of God’s love in the arms of our family and friends.
