Patrick Cronin Foundation Morning Tea

On Thursday 16 November the Year 10 Food and Hospitality class catered for a staff morning tea. The event was to raise money for the Patrick Cronin Foundation. The students chose to raise money for this organisation as they were very familiar with the story of Patrick as his cousin, Cailee Cronin, is in Year 10 here at Padua College.

Patrick died after being punched in the head while trying to pull his friend away from a brawl outside The Windy Mile hotel at Diamond Creek, in Melbourne's north-east, in April last year. Cailee Cronin was unable to attend the morning tea but wrote a special message to read out to all staff and thank them for helping raise money for her cousin’s foundation. The class put on a wonderful spread of delights and made espresso coffee for the staff, thanks to Little Rebel Coffee Roastery of Dromana. Well done to all the students involved, and thanks to all for their generosity. The fundraiser raised $200 for the foundation.
