The Great Tyabb Bake Off – Round 2

We had so much fun on Thursday 9 November with the last round of the Great Tyabb Bake Off, involving students in Year 8 and 9. The theme was: A Chocolate Pairing. Students submitted a recipe and planned all aspects for the competition.

Some of the inspired and delicious dishes from our Year 8 students included:

Pip Blacker and Jemma Warren - Chocolate and butterscotch doughnuts

Callum MacCallister - Chocolate raspberry muffins

Olivia Hills and Holly Aston - Salted caramel chocolate pillows

Bailey Thomson - Choc orange muffins

Brodie Pope - Choc covered strawberry oreo cheese balls

Emily Giblin and Liesel Wright Smith - Dark chocolate banana bread

Memphis Hurren and Devlin Webb - Choc strawberry lava cakes


Our Year 9 students came up with the following delicacies:

Shayli Vedamuttu and Chloe Mentiplay - choc coconut caramel slice

Monique Beard and Jaea Smits - Choc berry layered cake

Flynn Phillips - Choc raspberry cup-cakes

Bryon Lewis and Eliza Laity - Choc orange cake

Thank you to the staff who have supported this venture over the last couple of years. In particular, thanks to Monique Disney, Cait Wedd and Kelli Cook for their support and super level of organisation. Thanks to Nicola Gee who assisted the students during our Bake Off, and to all our judges! Winners to be announced at the Year 10 Final Assembly.
