Deputy Principal's Report

Year 10

This week we see the most tangible indication of our Year 10 students moving into the Year 11- 12 Campus, with many of our students completing their Unit 3/4 (Year 12) Subject Orientation Program during the week. These accelerated students have now begun the coursework that will contribute to their final Year 12 ATAR scores with obvious implications for future pathways.

Our Year 10 students begin their Exam period on Friday 24 November through to Wednesday 29 November. I would remind students that full College uniform is required for all exams and revision classes during this time. I thank Ms Amy Beale for all her work in preparation for the Year 10 Exams schedule and process.

On Thursday 30 November, following the conclusion of the exams, our Year 10 students will then be involved in Year 11 2018 transition activities, before our final Year 10 Celebrations, Mass, Assembly, and Year 10 Social, all to be held on Friday 1 December.

As you can see, the next few weeks is a busy time for our Year 10 students and I would urge them to finish their time in the Mornington 7-10 Campus well. I take this opportunity to remind them that their invitation and presence at the Year 10 Social is a privilege, not a right.

Year 8 Urban Camp

The week of 20-24 November will see our Year 8 Students embark on the Urban Camps. This is an invaluable opportunity for our Year 8 students to familiarise themselves with our city and to learn about our rich history. Sincere thanks to Mrs Jackie Roser and Mr Andrew Sambell for their work in arranging the Camp this year and in previous years. This is the last time our Urban Camp will be part of the Year 8 curriculum as from 2018 onwards it will become part of the Year 9 Program.

Wishing you all continued blessings.
