Deputy Principal's Report

The Christmas Tree is the Giving Tree

Padua Rosebud is moving now to Christmas Hamper mode. The Christmas Hampers put smiles on younger and older faces. The initiative began three years ago with an idea from Mrs Anne-Maree Houlihan to support families in need and for our College community to deepen personal awareness of the spirit of Christmas. The hampers like the College Meal support program can ease the load in times of difficulty or when tragedy strikes, no family is immune to either.

The hampers also sow the seed of thought that, ‘it is giving that we receive.’ Homerooms are asked to donate a specific type of food or other item. Mrs Goldsmid is leading our Rosebud Campus Christmas Hampers with all donations to be finalised by Monday 27 November.

Year 9's are on camp this week. Thank you Mrs Baker for the mountain of administration required and to Mr Helisma for his attention to detail.  The Tasmanian Camp is an excellent experience for the students who learn much about the pristine landscape of an extraordinary natural environment and for some students they take giant strides in overcoming personal fears through the challenge of the activities the group experience during the week.
