Deputy Principal's Report

Welcome back to Term 4

Welcome back to all our students for what promises to be a very exciting Term! Term 4 is always a busy time as we build up to the end of the year. Highlights of particular interest include the Year 9 Camp, the Year 8 Urban Camp and of course our normal array of Academic, Sport, Arts and Drama as well as Outreach activities.

Year 9 Camps head to a range of destinations including;  Murray River, Howqua Valley, Macalister River, Sydney and Tasmania. We are indeed fortunate to be able to offer our young people these magnificent opportunities and in anticipation I offer sincere thanks to Terry Luppino for all his work in organising the Mornington component of these camps.

Later in the term we will then head off on our Year 8 Urban Camp in House groups. Our students have an overnight experience in the City and again in anticipation, I thank all the Year 7-10 House Coordinators, many of whom will have only recently returned from Year 9 Camps. I also thank in particular Andrew Sambell and Jackie Roser for their work in developing the program for the Year 8 Urban Camp. Time with family is precious as we all know and so I would particularly like to acknowledge and thank staff who will be away from their own families this term.

As we move through the next few weeks of term I would like to wish the Year 12 students all the very best as the VCE students complete exams and the VCAL student finish off final assessment tasks. I also remind students in the 7-10 Campus that while the Year 12 students may be finishing formal lessons, the students in the 7-10 Campus still have much to achieve not only in 2017 but also in the years ahead at Padua so please keep in mind these end of year celebrations are for our Year 12 students only.

Good luck to all for the final term of 2017.

Wishing you all continued blessings.
