Senior VCAL’s Sister School Project

On Tuesday 12 September, Senior VCAL hosted students from Antonine College to our school in reciprocation of an early visit we paid to them. Antonine is a Catholic College based in Coburg which was founded by the Lebanese Maronite order. Students attend pre-school, primary school and secondary school in this tight community, which also has an age care facility to look after their elderly. Their Church is larger than our hall, with a smaller chapel joined for more intimate occasions.  Event manager, Holly Taylor, did a fantastic job of organising the event which included a Liturgy in our chapel, a tour of Padua; a delicious lunch of pies, sausage rolls, spinach and feta rolls, lamingtons, Anzac biscuits and pavlova which were all hand made by our students. This was followed by the students sharing experiences, perceptions and some fun activities. The relationship forged between our two schools will now only continue to grow thanks to the efforts of the students involved. A truly beautiful experience was had by all.
