Sustainability at the College

The last few weeks have seen some great progress in regards to Sustainability at the College. The “Adopt a Bin” program is now in action; with a number of homerooms having volunteered to take on the responsibility of wheeling the recycling bins to their correct locations throughout the week as to ensure that they are collected and returned. The cooperation of these homerooms has been fantastic, and has upheld the success of this new system.

The Sustainability Team designed a number of signs reminding students and teachers to turn off the lights once they are no longer needed. Over the coming weeks, these will be displayed in each of the classrooms in the hope of encouraging everyone to be conscious of their electricity usage.

The JSC and School Captains have continued to decorate the bins, with some examples of their work featured below.
