One Day to Conquer Cancer Walk - Zara Cooney

Zara Cooney (Year 10 Sebastian) will be participating in this year's One Day to Conquer Cancer walk on 29 October, to raise funds for the Peter Mac Hospital in support a dear friend who is battling cancer. To help raise funds, the staff at the Mornington Campus gathered for a special morning tea. Staff were presented with an array of beautiful homemade cakes, slices and savoury treats supplied by a number of staff, however the highlight on the menu were the mini doughnuts and Danishes kindly donated by Chocolat of Barkly Street, Mornington. This kind gesture by Chocolat was certainly appreciated by those who attended the fundraiser.

In total $685 was raised which is an amazing result. Special thanks to Brianna Dillion (Year 12 John XXIII) and Elizabeth Gordon (Year 12 Francis) who supported Zara in raising awareness of this event. Special thanks to Olivia Hour-Lim (Year 9 Romero) and Miah Coillet (Year 9 Romero) who assisted on the day. Overall, the event was a great success and for a well-deserved cause, thank you to all those involved.
