Equathon Challenge

On Sunday 13 August, six teams from Padua competed in the annual Boneo Park Equathon Challenge, which is a three event competition consisting of show jumping, swimming and cross-country running. This year, we fielded two teams from Mornington, one team from Rosebud and two teams from Tyabb as well as one Tyabb/Rosebud combined team.

Padua Pride, consisting of Jewell Ross, Sophie Mullan and Mia Bilston from Mornington campus took out 1st place in the female 13-15 years section, as did our combined team To the Max, consisting of Jazmin Stubbs (T), Sam Elvey (T) and Jake Pancic (R) in the 13-15 years male division. Both Jazmin and Sam were last minute replacements as other members of the team had to pull out, so that was a fantastic result.

Team Padua from Mornington, with Eliza Lloyd, Matt Jackson and Harry Bilston placed 2nd in the male 16-18 years section. Other placings include 6th for Tyabb team Padua JEG (Jordyn Weatherley, Giselle Northcote and Eboni Penny), 7th for Tyabb’s Padua Storm (Liesel Wright-Smith, Georgia Bonnett and Paige Elvey), and 11th for Rosebud’s Padua GAK (Avah Pancic, Georgia Fraser and Kate Farquhar).

The students exhibited highly commendable commitment and enthusiasm and we could also not have had such success without the amazing support of the parents, including those who kindly supplied me with photos from the day. Well done to everyone and the horses too!
