Student Achievement: Alex Flanagan, Year 11 Mercy

National Youth Science Forum

We’re excited to announce that Alex Flanagan (Year 11) has been selected to attend the National Youth Science Forum, to be held in Canberra for 2 weeks over January 2018. Alex was encouraged to apply by Mr Esman, and was selected after speaking to the Lions Club in Mt Eliza. He will be one of a number of students from all around Australia who will be staying at the Australian National University (ANU) and experiencing the broad range of scientific activities available at ANU and surroundings, including spending time with the Chief Scientist and touring Mt Stromlo Observatory. This will be a fantastic event for Alex to attend and it’s a great honour to Alex, his family and to the College.
