2018 Bus Travel - Applications Open 14 August

While parents have primary responsibility for transporting their children to and from school, Padua College does operate an extensive school bus program that is used by approximately 1,400 students every day. A user-pays system was introduced in 2017 that encompassed the College’s three campuses and is partially funded by the whole College.

The Bus Contribution Program will continue to operate with parents having to ‘opt in’ to utilize school bus travel.  Parents may be required to contribute to the cost of the service depending on the type of bus the student chooses to travel on. 

The College will require a deposit of $100 by Friday 8 September 2017 as confirmation of your intention for your student to be allocated a seat on a bus. A bus will not be allocated to your student if this process is not completed.

The College believes the amount being asked as a contribution towards the bus system – between $320 and $695 for 2018 – is extremely fair compared to similar schools in the area, which range from $500 to almost $3,000.
