Chemist for a Day

On Friday 4 August, we took some of our budding scientists to Victoria University, Footscray. They participated in a variety of Chemistry activities which they really enjoyed. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to see and discuss university Chemistry, navigate their way around the campus and develop positive relationships with like-minded students. Thank you to all of the staff involved in making this excursion happen. It was a very worthwhile experience! I think the favourite experiment in our group was turning aspirin into deep heat (Organic Chemistry). Enjoy some of the photos taken from our Lab session.
