VET Building

We celebrated the opening of the new VET Trade Centre (commonly known as the VET Shed) at the Mornington Campus on Wednesday 2 July. There was a speech by Deputy Principal, Ms Sally Buick and a ribbon cutting by Year 12 student James Greenwood. A number of students and staff then enjoyed a celebratory barbeque and cake together.

The VET Shed is a fantastic new space that the students are enjoying and learning lots of new skills. Our VET students are currently fitting it out – the first year students have built the work benches while the 2nd year students have been doing framing, lining of walls and generally decking it out. There is such a buzz and it is wonderful to watch students from the three campuses working together.

Programs like this don't happen without the passion of staff. Mr Dave Colcott is to be congratulated for all the hard work he does with the VET Building and Construction students.

Thanks to all the students and staff involved in the success of this significant occasion!
