Term 3 Sports

State Netball Championships

Over 120 netballers represented Padua last Friday in the State Netball Championships at Royal Park.

Eleven Mornington teams plus three Rosebud teams attended. We did dominate the numbers however the competition was pretty tough.

Only one team (the Junior Girls A team, coached by Sarah Bailey) won their pool and will now move onto the next stage…..to face even tougher competition. Congratulations to Sarah and the team!!

A couple of other teams came close however, the format of the day is unforgiving -one loss and it gets tough.

Many thanks to the numerous staff that coached the teams up to and including the day: Joanna Goldsmid, Sheryl Paton, Brad Byles, Mary Logan, Sarah Bailey, Alicia Canning, Hayley McMillan, Victoria Shanahan, Terry Luppino, Anna Whittaker, Stacey Romeril, Nathan Bradbury, Emma Doherty, Scarlet Christopherson. Also many thanks to Rachel Ball for organising all the paperwork, uniforms, CareMonkey alerts etc.

It is always rewarding to see both our staff and students representing the College at such major events. There was great team spirit and sportsmanship displayed across all teams that represented us on the day.
