Immersion Students - Travelling to Warralong Community WA

Padua College is conducting its first Indigenous Immersion, with 10 students travelling to the Warralong Community in Western Australia over the upcoming school holidays. Earlier this year Siobhan Stephans held a fundraiser, with great support from a number of the Padua Community, and in particular Liz Jones, a former tutor here at Padua for our Indigenous students.

Students including Bethany Hansen, Ciara Darrer, Ally Philip, Niamh Spalding, Emily Potter, Jessica Laity, Stephen Cumming, Lilley Bursey, Alicia O’Brien and Siobhan Stephan, and staff members Peter Harte and Tania Grace, will depart on 24 June to go to the Strelley School, the oldest community school in Australia. The $2000 raised from the fundraiser will be handed over to the school, for use in the healthy living program.

This Immersion experience aims to assist participants to deepen and explore their spirituality and to strengthen their commitment to building a more just world from the perspective of justice and gospel values.
