All Schools Cross Country Chamionships

The All Schools Cross Country competition was held at Bundoora Park on Saturday 17 June. A group of competitive and enthusiastic Padua students competed in various distances and age groups, and overall the students performed extremely well.

Some notable performances include: Callen Goldsmith in Year 12 who finished the race in 11th place and Mia Bilston in Year 9 placing in 12th position in her race, a fantastic achievement. This is on top of their record breaking performances at the SIS Division A Cross Country Championships on 23 May, where Callen ran 11.20 in the U/21 Male 4km course, while Mia ran 11.17 in the U/14 Female 3km course.

A big thank you to Nathan Bradbury for attending the All Schools Cross Country Championships with the students.

Saturday’s competition was the concluding event for this year’s Cross Country program. Winning the SIS Division A Cross Country Championships on 23 May  -  making it a 30 year winning streak - was certainly a highlight!  May I take this opportunity to extend my gratitude to all the staff and students for their efforts, in particular, the students' dedication to the after school training program and commitment to the Padua Cross Country team

I look forward to another successful year in 2018.
