St Anthony of Padua’s Feast Day

On Tuesday 13 June we celebrated our patron saint’s feast day. All our students had the opportunity to participate in liturgies in Homeroom or in the Chapel at Mornington, reflecting on his life and saying the Traditional Prayer to St Anthony. This prayer is particularly pertinent at this busy time of year, with many students doing exams or final assessment tasks, and teachers busy with corrections and reports:

Gentle Servant of God.

Help us find ways to honour God’s blessings by showing our love for all God’s creation.

Give us your strength that we may cope with the trials and troubles of daily life.

You, through whose voice the Word of God was preached, intercede for our needs.

Be with us always to teach us to reach out in love and support for others.

Students at Mornington Campus also had the opportunity to also participate in celebrating 100 years since the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima to three shepherd children in Portugal in 1917, during the First World War.
