Student Achievement - Grace McRae (Year 12 Class of 2016)

Grace McRae – Eastern Illinois University Panther!

We’re excited to hear that Grace McRae (Year 12 Class of 2016) has accepted an offer to attend E.I.U - Eastern Illinois University - in the U.S.A later this year. Grace had two offers, and chose to accept E.I.U as it has a Division 1 Basketball Team and offers a more extensive academic program.

Grace has been offered a full scholarship over four years, including tuition, accommodation and food. The college is flying her over for a visit during May so that she can have a look around at the facilities and meet the coach and players. She will begin in June with Summer School that will fast track her schooling so that she can concentrate on Basketball.

Grace’s parents, Jacinta and Brett McRae said that “Grace is very excited and can't wait to go. She has dreamed of playing College basketball, and has watched several team-mates and friends attend colleges in the U.S.A. She is very lucky because she will enjoy playing a game that she loves and get a tertiary Education without a HECS debt.”

This is sensational news and we wholeheartedly congratulate Grace and wish her all the very best with both her Basketball and in her studies at University!
