This Easter season beckons us,
Calling us to reflect on the meaning
of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus in our own lives
and in the lives of our families and communities.
We pray that our world might be ever more a Kingdom of justice and peace,
just as Jesus challenged all he met to create that Kingdom in their lives.
We pray that our communities might be
ever more concerned for the poor and helpless in our midst,
just as Jesus ministered to the poor and helpless in his community.
And we pray that our own lives might be ever more
a sign of God’s love in our world,
Just as the great love of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection
continues to bring hope to our world.
We ask these things in God’s name. Amen
