Whitehouse Institute of Design

Our Year 11 Product Design and Technology Fashion students attended a workshop at the College, held by the Whitehouse Institute of Design (WID). The WID is a private design college in Collins Street, Melbourne and Alex who is a staff member there, came to Padua on Thursday 9 March to teach the students Fashion Illustration.

I have already seen a significant improvement in the student confidence when presenting their designs in their fashion folios.

Ella Scarr won a scholarship on the day for her ability to engage with the presenter and the other students and for her completed illustration. Ella has been invited to attend a five day workshop at Whitehouse in January 2018. This will greatly enhance her folio work for her Year 12 studies in Product Design and Technology Fashion.

Maya Layton and Imogen Mooney were awarded a special consideration certificate on the day.
