Padua at the CEM St Patrick's Day Concert

Musicians from Padua College were special guests at the CEM St Patrick’s Day Concert last Friday. Around 30 students from an array of College bands and ensembles represented the school proudly.

Our young musicians were so professional they had the crowd of around 1500 students from across Victoria eating out of their hands. Performing a repertoire ranging from Tina Turner and David Bowie to Foo Fighters and Beartooth, Padua showed what we were made of in musical terms. As one audience member commented ‘if you close your eyes and don’t see the uniforms you would think you were listening to a professional band’.

Many thanks to our dedicated young performers, not only for the work they contributed but also for the way in which they interacted with and supported their fellow performers from Mercy College.

Thanks also to the staff who made such a big effort to make this happen and to Mr Banks for rocking out with the audience on the day.
