Jane has been involved in Catholic education for nearly 40 years. During that time, she has been a teacher, an administrator and a parent. Jane has worked in several Catholic secondary schools across the Archdiocese of Melbourne – both regional colleges and order-owned colleges, co-ed and single sex schools. She values Catholic education and believes that students educated in a Catholic school bring a well-rounded and spiritual dimension to their development. Catholic schools value the whole person and students from Catholic schools are always well prepared to enter society as adults.
Academically, Jane’s first degree was a Bachelor of Applied Science (Mathematics) and subsequently Jane has received a Graduate Diploma in Education, Graduate Diploma in Religious Education, Graduate Certificate in Social Science and a Master of Education.
Jane’s most recent employment was as Principal of John Paul College, a position she held for over ten years. Having retired from work at the end of last year, Jane sought to find new ways of contributing to Catholic education. Joining the Padua College Board is the perfect solution as it allows Jane to still play an active role in Catholic education and to use her experience to support the development of a great Catholic school. Jane has been appointed as the Parish Representative for the Southern Parishes.
